The Challenge
Mooniak, a collective specializing in Sinhala and Tamil typography, needed a platform that wasn't just a portfolio but a functional tool for the global design community. They required a way to showcase their extensive open-source font library, provide technical details like glyph maps and license information, and offer an interactive environment where users could test different font weights and sizes in real-time.
The Solution
We designed and developed a high-performance, minimalist web platform that puts typography at the center. The site features a 'Discover Fonts' gallery with live previews, a dedicated font testing tool where designers can adjust size and weight sliders, and a comprehensive glyph explorer. We also integrated the 'Mooniak Circle' community portal and a streamlined inquiry system for custom typeface design projects. The entire UI was built to be fast, accessible, and respectful of the diverse scripts it hosts.
